All GenWatch maintenance services are performed by trained technicians using manufacturer-approved procedures and materials.
Each maintenance visit includes:
Drain engine oil and replace with manufacturer-approved synthetic oil
Replace oil filter, air filter, and spark plugs as required
Inspect fuses and electrical protection devices
Inspect and test battery voltage and charging system
Inspect and adjust valve clearances if required
Battery service, including terminal inspection and corrosion prevention
Inspect electrical connections at the generator and automatic transfer switch (ATS)
Inspect fuel and gas connections at the generator and supply source
Verify proper operation of the automatic transfer switch (ATS)
Simulate utility power loss to confirm generator startup, load transfer, operation, and shutdown
Verify generator voltage and frequency output under load
Update generator software or firmware when applicable
Address applicable manufacturer service bulletins when required
Document maintenance results for service records and warranty compliance
Proper disposal of used oil, filters, and service materials

Yes, but only the oil, filters, spark plugs etc. Maintenance plans cover preventive service only. Replacement parts, repairs, and corrective labor are quoted and billed separately. Warranty repairs are subject to manufacturer approval.
Yes. Maintenance is performed according to manufacturer-recommended schedules, which helps keep your generator compliant with warranty requirements. All service results are documented.
If monitoring detects an issue, you’ll be notified and our team can review the alert. If on-site service is needed, we’ll contact you to schedule service and provide pricing if applicable.
For most routine maintenance visits, you do not need to be home. However, when we simulate a power outage, access and approval may be required. We’ll coordinate with you in advance.
Yes. Plans are billed monthly and may be canceled with 30 days’ notice. Any unused maintenance visits do not automatically roll over.
